A month ago, we bought the above and have already have had to have it changed for a replacement, as it kept going off whilst being viewed and had to be switched on again. The new one has done the same at least 7 times since last Wednesday. Is there an inherent problem with this particular model, or Samsungs in general?
I have a Samsung 40"LCD and have been experiencing a simillar problem for the last 5 months, after turning on and viewing the TV for about 50-60 mins. the TV will turn itself off and immidately turn back on and will star on until you turn it off. It will do this everytime you turn the TV on. Well my friend fixes TV's told me to unplug it and let it sit for about 30 min's then plug it back in and see if it still do it. Well it has been 2wk's and it haven't happen once so i think that is the solution.
This might sound weird but can you locate the infra-red sensor and glue something on it so it doesn't respond to your remote control? A different device in the neighbroud might turn it off.

Hadn't thought of that Kehalim - will give it a try. Noelle
Thanks for your reply. Ours doesn't turn itself back on, but goes on to standby and we have to turn it on again with the remote, then it is on a different channel when it comes back on. But we'll try unplugging it too and see if that works.
I just wondered whether this fault was particular to Samsung, or even just this particular model, as we have someone coming from the shop later today and wondered whether we may have to think about getting a different make or model instead. Though it will be a shame as it is a nice looking TV.
Once again thanks for your input.
And.....thanks too, to Kehalim...I forgot to say thanks yesterday
