You will need to do a diagnostic on the car to find out if your problem is electrical or mechanical. ex. The Fuel pump is mechanical but works with electricity and so you will have to follow the wiring harness connections with a Probe Light Tester first and work your way from there. You could have a bad fuel pump or poor pressure in your lines. watch this video to get an idea of how to diagnose your vehicle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9PzG_FiNhY

Car starts and idols great but cuts out and dies when I give it gas, like it's flooded. Already changed fuel pump skreen and fuel filter. Air, fuel mixure?

  • too high fuel pressure. 30 ok 60 bad. PSI
  • leaking injectors
  • ECU injector driver shorted, turning on injectors full time
  • injector drive wire shorted to ground bad wiring.
  • ECT stuck at -40F (alaska temperature) USE a SCAN tool.
  • MAP sensor vacuum hose/pipe clogged (ECU thinks your are going up hill all the time and floods.
  • The scan tool can check each , but not fuel pressure.

I have a Diesel Fiat Punto 1.3 multi jet 2003. I cant start the car it keeps turning over and over and will not start. Ive had the pump and injectors checked, changed the starter motor, had new glow plugs....

First I would check to make sure you have the proper fuel pressure at the pump - you should have 2 pumps - one that delivers from the tank, and a high pressure pump for the injectors. Make sure that both are delivering properly - you may need to prime the pumps for quite some time if air got into the lines. Also make sure the cam / crank sensors wiring has no corrosion and is making proper contact. Between 0 to 300/400rpm the signal can be slightly erratic until the engine is started so I would not worry too much about that.

Have a 94 Punto 55s. Starts and runs well but occasionally doesn't accelerate properly as if it is running out of fuel despite having half a tank. Could it be a problem with injectors, pump? Or gunk in...

I hear never heard of redseal. I do know that Sea Foam at Wal-Mart is the best fuel additive for cleaning out injectors. It is under 10 dollars.

Fiat punto

The fuel tank has lines that go out of it for different jobs. One of this plastic lines helps the gas fumes to breathe out in to the atmosphere throu a filter, so if this line is clogged for some reason no air can get out when you pump the gas in, so it spills it out. Locate this line and replace or unclogge it and hopefully this will cure you problem
