Check if you are using dvd -r/rw. It only accepts this type of dvd, not +r/rw.

The reason they are not compatable is the software may be set up for a particular type of DVD, or may be configured for " overburing " Usually reducing the size of the video using compression is your best bet. If this does not work, you may be able to convert the video into an mpeg, mp4 or avi format, and use another software to create the DVD for burning. Nero has such tools to create DVD's.

Also, be sure that you are converting the movies to DVD standard format. Some software allows you create the video, and then does not convert it to DVD format.

You may also check to see if there are patches / updates available for your software.

Not quite sure how 'Last Christmas' is 2009. If you have downloaded the videos to your PC, there is certainly free editing and burning software available.

ImageMixer 3 SE for SD. Can't Create Disc, Save Files to PC

This has to be the shittest software ever! I've edited my clips in the editing mode but can't do anything but save it as a working edit. The file format is useless for anything but this program so all you can do is edit to your hearts content and then edit some more. Complete waste of time. I tried connecting the camera (Canon HF10) and that took away all editing options. Could only burn straight to DVD or upload to computer. For such an expensive camera this is very disappointing.

Video memory full on camcord, how to burn it onto a dvd?

First be sure to have installed ImageMixer software that came with the camera. If you can't find the disc go here... http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DCRSR40&LOC=3 then select your operating system and then select imagemixer to download.

Step 1:
Place camera onto docking station, connect usb cable to computer, open camera door, turn on camera. Imagemixer should open automatically, if not open up imagemixer.

Transfer to Computer:
Select "Viewing and Editing", then select "handycam" tap, click on "▼" (arrow) facing down, then click "movies". Place a check mark on each movie you wish to move to the computer then click "Options" tab (lower left corner) and see where the movies will end up once you click "Import to computer".

Burn to DVD:
Be sure you have a DVD drive that can write to DVD's. Will have DVD R/RW on the face of the drive. Place a blank DVD into drive. Follow Step 1. Then click "One Touch DVD Burn" from the imagemixer menu. Follow any instructions on screen.

Or you can choose to use Windows Explorer and select the drive letter that is your camera's harddrive and move/copy/cut/paste files directly from this location to another.
