The backlight inverter board may have gone out or it may not be getting the power from the main power supply sections.

Why is my sound not working on my insignia fire tv edition NS-39DF310NA21. It won’t let me turn my sound on

Make sure that the audio cables are properly connected for the source (component, composite video or VGA/DVI (computer or other device)). Disconnect any cable in the headphone port.

Was the TV ever used with an audio receiver? If so, the TV speakers may have been turned off. Go to the Home Menu. Go to Settings > Display and Audio > Audio Output > TV Speakers and set this to On. (For Quick settings, press and hold Home. Then go to Sound > TV Speakers and set to On.) If you have a universal remote, the remote could be set to give all audio commands to a receiver. Try the remote so the Audio commands go to the TV. (This will depend on the remote. Please add a comment with the remote brand, model and type (often inside the battery compartment) for the full programming information.)

If you are using external speakers with a receiver, you may need to change the audio settings to PCM for a digital audio output. (This is in the same Audio Output section of the standard menu.)

I hope this helps.

(I've locked several remotes to the audio system which causes this type of problem when the home theater system needs a wiring repair.)

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Sled4668w tv scans channals but always shows 0 found hooked upto dish network

This Orion TV made by Sansui was bought by me two weeks ago. It didn't last a week. The sound was terrible, picture was great, and it wouldn't hook up to soundbar without hearing a long delay in sound (A/V or Digital output tried two). I contacted their customer support twice, they were awesome. Told me this model has know issues and said to just bring it back. I found another TV for same price ($399) and same size (46) but it's LCD not LED, better picture and great sound! It is Insignia don't remember the model #. Bought at Best Buy (their house brand).

Cant program a channel into insignia tv dont have remote only dish remote

It's my understanding that you're trying to get your DISH remote programmed to your TV, rachellebria. The following are the steps you can take to get that accomplished:

  1. Turn the Television On
  2. Press and Hold the TV Power button for three seconds until the LED flashes
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press OK The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.
Hope that helps!

TV input

it is likely that your tv is interpreting a random button on your remote as a signal sent for it to change inputs, next time this happens turn the tv off and back on and note what comes up on the screen, for example video 1,
