Just quit my samsung hc-p5241w projection tv just shut off the other day and when i try to turn it back on the red led on the just flashes then goes to solid.the led flashes twice short break then flash twice again then goes solid or turn off

Quite normal in many situations as signal is compressed with most cable and satellite systems, a fact of life.

The front panel LED light indication "LAMP" flashes?Change the the tv projection lamp or LED lamp first,see what happen?Than go from there?Tvs with "LAMP" LED indication light flashes,tv 1 1/2 or 2 years old use like 4 or 5 hours a day.The projection or LED lamp or bulb,inside life span is over.Require changing LED lamp or projection bulb.

Depends on where you go could cost as much as $400.00 just for Tube, are you sure your Tube is Bad?

you could possibly have damaged the deflection power supply that part is not to expensive if you can find a reputable shop they should be able fix you up pretty cheap as opposed to a new. if the set had a good picture get it fixed its a good set

If your looking to service this set yourself you need to open the back cover and look down on the main pcboard with a flash light if you see any liquid damage it's more then likely your CRT's are leaking coolent fluid on to the main PC board, Common problem with most CRT projection TV's manufatured today, main board needs to be cleaned and the CRT's need to be sealed,

again a good set the deflection modules on these sets are pretty reasonable you need to have a tech swap it but i highly suggest that than a new one the chirping is the set trying to start up but going into shut down

you red crt is shorting out.tap the neck of the red crt lightly to try to remove the short.if no go also inspect the neck board.

This all of the sudden happened if so you may have lost the green alot of times yoiu can fix the CRT drive Brd there is a video amp ic and a resistor that can be replaced or yo can replace the whole Brd a little harder to do than just replacing the parts on the Brd
