Adjusting colors on a magnavox 46" projection TV

How to perform a colour adjustment on a phillips/magnavox 46" projection TV (model # PN2046) date November 1992.

Picture colors are faded.

I'm unable to get the picture completely focused using the focus/color adjustment control panel in rear. Are there other adjustment to be made besides the 6 knobs on the focus panel?

I need to know how to open the front of my Magnavox ,1992, 46" projection screen. Model RL 8544AK08, serial# 83612262. I used to have regular service on my set and the tech would open the front of the set and clean the projection mirror and the color lights. This has not been done in the last 4 years and now my picture is is dull. Unfortunately, I can't remember how he got to mirror. Any help would be appreciated.

The blue color is not aligned in the left bottom corner. The remote control cannot align it. Blue slants upward and left

Replace the CRT fluid. It grows algea in the blue and green only. 9.99 from MCM electronics.

I have done 2 of these. really easy. I bought another for $35 dollars and now have a big screen in my garage...

Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignment any colors,shadows colors, 3D pictures,the tv have a problems known as a convergence problems.The tv convergence board is dead.The 2 STK Convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead too.Must replaced these parts to solved convergence problems.The shop will cost $300-350 for parts and labors.

I have a 55 inch phillips magnavox t.v. Im almost positive its a projection t.v., my problem is that the picture shows up really dark, you can see when the show is a bright show, but comes up a weird...

I would say your small signal module is bad. This is the board with the convergence ICs. Have a tech or yourself pull the board out and replace the ICs and some resistors. Checkout TVREPAIRKITS.com. They will have your model and its symptoms. Hope to guide you in the right direction!

Adjusting the color

replace the coolant in the CRts. You can get the Phillips CRT coolant kit at the following link. The kit contains the coolant and the CD with instructions.

Magnavox 51" 51MP392H seems not to have any reds in picture.

his is a very common failure on Projection TV sets.
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.
Also - Dull video problems...

MAGNAVOX PROJECTION TV- GOOD PICTURE , BUT NO COLOR

you need the ssm panel. You can get a replacement panel for your model at the following link.Which is the correct board for your model it controls color, convergence and etc.

RCA 46" Rear Projection TV - Picture is Blurry and RED

That sounds like the screen and focus controls you are adjusting. It sounds like you have a bad HV Splitter inside the TV. #205064 or #204809 Depending on your model number. http://www.matelectronics.com/acatalog/Mat_Electronics_Replacement_Parts___TV_134.html sells them for about 20 bucks.
