Razor battery won't stay charged

the v3 is known for battery issues. not charging, not holding charge and overheating. my suggesting is get a different model phone. and stay away from razors. they all have battery issues, I know this from multiple customer razor issues. all battery issues.

New charger is needed - Razors are VERY particular about their type of charge - If it is a bad charger - You will see the battery indicator flashing red - and it will be empty - this is the phone saying pretty much that it cannot use this charger -

I have had ALOT of problems with razors and returned chargers - Try to scoop up an original - or take it to a location and test the charger first -

You can try to remove the battery and then put it back in - then try to charger it but i doubt that will work -


Get a new charger - TEST IT FIRST IN STORE!!!

i have one just like that. it was because i over charged it. take out your battery when mine did that the battery looked a little bowed out on both sides. the salesman called it an exploded battery

take off the back plate, push down on the battery, you should feel it give a little. While pushing down, tilt it back. It should come right out.

Every phone battery has a life cycle. if the battery is more than year old , it most probably requires a replacement. As its not able to retain charge. If its under one year , get the same replaced from the motorola service center . I had the same problem with my razor and they replaced it free of charge as the same was under 1 yr .

try a new battery and also take the phone and have the firmware reflash on the phone to correct this problem

Did the phone show it was charging on the display? Was the charger firmly connected to the phone? The batteries will go bad after a period of time of recharge cycles. I have bought replacement batteries for my RAZR on eBay. Remove the battery and do a search on eBay for a NEW battery from a dealer using the battery P/N on the battery. I found a higher capacity battery for mine that lasts even longer on a charge than the original one that came with my RAZR. You can do a search on eBay for "RAZR battery". Look at the mAH rating on your battey, Try finding a replacement with the same or higher rating than your original. The higher the mAH rating, the longer it will last between recharge cycles.
