Recording issue vip922

I am unable to record any programs on TV2 (in dual tunser) from TV1. As I record, it starts recording on TV1 only. Not only that, While I am watching my recorded program (on TV1) and there is some program due for recording (TV1), it switches to live tv1. in 722, it never let the us stop watching recorded program. Not only that, if we come back to watch to recorded program, the recording that started stops right there.

SOURCE: NOTHING RECORDING ON TV2

Is there a program recorded? you would find this under "My Recordings".
Does it allow playback of that recording?

SOURCE: Dual transmitter DVR has stopped recording on TV2.

Hi, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Network Customer Service. I have never heard of receiver only recording on one tuner but not on the other but I would like to see if we can find a solution for you. The first step to try in order to resolve your issue is make sure that you do not have any timers conflicting with each other. If you do have two different timers that are set to record at the same time it can cause the DVR to record one show and not the other. Another trouble shooting step to try is a hard reset by unplugging your receiver for ten seconds then plugging the cord back in. After you have allowed your DISH receiver to reset try your DVR recording functions again. If both of these options are not correcting the problem please feel free to email me at [email protected] so that I can ask you a few more questions about your issue and get this resolved for you as soon as possible. Thanks and have a great day! :)

Testimonial: "Looks like resetting it worked. Will try it out today. Thanks!"

SOURCE: I want to record a

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. It sounds like your DVR recordings may be interfering with another recording you already have set up. What you can do in order to fix this issue is change your Record Plus setting to TV1 instead of TV2. In order to do this you must first press the Menu button on your remote control then Select 8(Preferences) then 5(Record Plus). Once you have selected record plus you will need to enable the option as well as set your Record preference to TV1. Depending on the model of receiver you have the menu numbers may be different but the options (i.e. preferences and record plus) will be the same. I hope you find this information useful but if this does not work or you have any other questions or concerns feel free to email me at [email protected]. Thanks and have a great day!

SOURCE: We have Dish Network VIP722 on only one tv at this

We would be happy to help you with that. The first thing we would recommend checking is if the "Record Plus" feature is "Enabled", this can be found to the left of the "Record Preferences" on the "Record Plus" screen. The other thing we would recommend is to ensure that the tuner that you are viewing is for the TV1. You can swap between the tuners by pressing "Input" button while in SAT mode.

This should get things set up the way you want it. Thanks for choosing DISH Network!

This is a problem that many have. If you are recording on TV1, and the receiver is in dual mode, then you are only able to watch what you record. But you can set your recording to TV1, and then put the receiver into single mode, and switch from the recording to live TV.

How do I record two channels at once on a DMR-EX773EB DVD Recorder

I cannot find on online manual for this model. If dual channel recording an actual specification for the model? If it really should be able to record two channels at once then it may be similar to the DishNetwork DVR. It has one input but internally splits and creates two different outputs for two different channels.
Check to see if there is a mode setting for single/dual. You will need to set it to "dual". The Dishnetwork DVR has what it calls TV1 and TV2. You can record to TV1 but cannot watch a different channel on TV1 while it is recording. You CAN however watch and record a different channel on TV2 while TV1 is recording. (and vice versa). You can also record two shows while watching other recorded shows.
I'm guessing that you may need to look for some recording options to be able to record two channels at once.

Tvs sync together

The receiver seems to be in single mode. On the right side of the receiver press the front panel. A small pop open door will open and inside there will be a MODE button. Press this button and ensure both the green and blue lights are lit on the receiver. If they are now but weren't earlier this should solve the issue however there may be another issue.

Take the TV2 remote to the TV1 location associated with that system. With the TV1 remote and TV on press menu menu on the TV1 remote this will bring you to the System Info Screen. Near the bottom of the screen there will be two remote addresses- primary=TV1 and Secondary=TV2. Using the TV2 remote press and hold the small clear SAT button until all light across the top light up. Now key in a two digit number that is different from the original secondary address at this location and also different than the address for TV1. Now press the pound key and the SAT button will flash thrice. Now press the record button a few times until the secondary address changes to the number you selected. Once this is done you can exit out of all screens on all receivers and go to the TV2 location that was having the issue and it should be resolved. I hope this resolved your issue and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Problem with DISH DVR 625

You can accomplish this by either going to the specific TV and selecting the record option at the time the program is about to come on or you can press menu-8-5 and change the record preferences. You can either set the DVR to record programs to the TV2 location by default or TV1 by enabling the record plus feature. In dual mode without record plus enabled all programs you select to record default to the tuner you are viewing e,g, if watching tv1 and selecting to record a program in the future it will record to the tv1 location. In single mode all recordings default to tv2 so you can continue to watch live tv from tv1. I hope this answers your question and thanks for using Fix Ya. Let me know if I can further assist you.

How do i choose tv1 or tv2 on my DVR?

Your recording will record onto your one DVR box, for playback on either tv. On many satelite boxes you have to search for the program you want by entering the name. Then select the program and select to record the future broadcast.
