Have been trying to use an sd card with register, but always ends in error 99. HELP!

Hi.
The XE-A203 does not use error numbers. It should tell you what is wrong in words. The 202 does use numbers. An error 2 on a 202 model just means you pressed the wrong buttons.
Can you please check the model number on the machine and make sure it is a 203? Also, does it do it as soon as you turn the key to REG? What happens if you try the key in other modes?
Please try to give me as much info as you can, and we can try to sort it out.

to get the register to communicate with your vista or to even run the customer support tool software you will need to uninstall, reinstall, right click on the icon on your desktop, choose properties,in the compatibility box put a checkmark in the "Run this program as administrator",
everything should operate normal now with no errors

Cause of the Error
This error message is generated only on a Windows computer when a read-only shared resource has share-level access control.
Resolution Methods
You can resolve this issue by using one of the following methods:
*Change the access permission on your shared resource from read-only to full control.
*If your Windows computer is in a Windows NT domain, you may use user level access to workaround the problem.
*You may use Win32 API calls to access your read-only shared resource on Windows.

According to my manual, the cards should be formatted on a Windows PC. Insert the card into any computer and wait for it to be recognized. Access the card's memory by clicking on the icon in the "My Computer" (or equivalent) window. BE SURE THERE IS NOTHING ON THE CARD THAT YOU WILL LOSE. This process will erase everything on the card. Right-click on the card's icon. Click "Format." Set formatting options to FAT memory. Set the allocation size to 16. Start formatting. Double-check your manual to be sure for the specifics on your exact model of calculator.
