Size battery for HoMedics digital Scale SC-300 V-1812

The HoMedics digital scale SC-300 uses a CR2032 lithium coin cell battery. This battery has a diameter of 20mm and a thickness of 3.2mm, which makes it a small, flat battery that can easily fit into the scale.

My homedics sc-475 scale was showing illegible print. I put in a new 2032 battery. No change. Now what?

Hello,
It's not a battery problem. The LCD panel of the DIGITAL SCALE has been wrong. Reasons: water, vapour, connector oxidation.

I have changed to batteries twice but I Continue to get error messages. What to do now?

If the batteries are good the hassle has to be with the electronics.

If the pressure sensor is in the on position when booting, that could result in the error message you are getting - make sure it is open when booting up the unit.

Battery wire became loose from from the circuit board

Hello Cachegirl_68,

Your scale came with a 5 year guarantee...
(possible... ??).

ELSE

Re-soldering is actually pretty easy thing to do...
If you have a circuit pack holder.. or three hands
(but it is important not to overheat anything)...

Bright light, magnifying eye-wear, electronic
gage (rosin core) solder, low wattage soldering
iron, solder sucker or wick

If you already have the equipment available...
well ventilated ... non-combustible (or melting)
flooring, chairs and work-surfaces...

A single burn hole in your favorite jeans, carpet,
vinyl floor or chair will render the COSTs as
completely impractical...
(not to mention the BURN under the jeans hole)

Your local friendly electronics store has these
TOOLs... New (
also that light gage solder)...

Watch your costs... (
again)
A NEW HOMEDICS might be cheaper.

If you have EVER soldered... you know what solder looks like when it becomes molten (shiny)... At that moment you can take a
WOOD toothpick (not the PRECISE TOOL but adequate) and push the old wire from the soldering hole... MAKING the hole
ready to receive the new wire...

It is important not to OVERHEAT

HoMedics ProgressTracker SC 372 Instruction Manual Page 3

Me... (I soldered for a living)...
I would buy a NEW scale...

And a bottle of wine... Life is short.

(and the Salvation Army is looking for that scale of yours)

Need to reset scale weight

You have probably set your scale to kilogram and not pounds. There should be a button to set this underneath the scale or even a reset button to reset the scale to its original settings.

Battery replacement

Check to make sure you inserted the batteries correctly the plus signs should be up. If that doesn't work I reccomend contacting homedics customer support as something is worng with the scale that you cannot fix there is a lifetime limited warranty on the product so its better to let them try to fix the problem.
here is support contact information

here is the information on the warranty
