Question about Homedics Glass Top LCD Digital Lithium Scale SC 403

Need to reset scale weight

I recently replaced the battery on this scale and it working fine EXCEPT it is showing too low of a weight (yes I would love to weigh what it says, but I know it's incorrect!). I no longer have the service manual and need to know how to reset the scale to the correct weight. Thanks!!

You have probably set your scale to kilogram and not pounds. There should be a button to set this underneath the scale or even a reset button to reset the scale to its original settings.

I have a thinner scale 1106RD. it has been working fine until recently. I am about 170-175lbs but when I get on the scale it shows 27 to 28lbs. I have changed the battery but issue remains the same.
Is the scale zeroed with no weight on it?
Otherwise the load sensor or its bracket may have bent.

Me too. Changed AAA batteries for brand new. Everything works fine except - it doesn’t leave zero no matter what the weight. Only two yrs old too! Wtf?

Weight does not register
The scale is low on battery. That's the most likely answer.

I found this procedure which was given by Taran_2005. I just come to try him(it) on mine, that works.

"The following reset procedure is used when the scale shows an err2, err, 0.0, inaccurate weight, or some other unusual error.
  1. Remove the battery from the scale.
  2. Sit the scale on a hard surface floor.
  3. Step up onto the scale, stand still for about 5 seconds and step off the scale.
  4. Re-install your battery.
  5. Place the scale back on a hard surface floor.
  6. With one foot only, place just enough weight on the scale for the display shows zero's or dashes. Once you see zeros or dashes remove your foot.
  7. Wait for the scale to turn off again.
  8. Step up onto the scale for a weight.
If the reset is successful, you should receive a weight right away."

I have a Taylor body fat analyzer and scale model #5563 that keeps showing Err 2. It won't read any weight whatsoever... it just goes stratight to the Error message. Do you know what that means and how I...

Here are the basic ERR messages and their meanings:
  • Error 0: Initialization
  • Error 1: Instability (scale is on an uneven surface ex: carpet)
  • Error 2: Unit may have been jarred or unit was overloaded (customer went over the maximum weight capacity)
  • Error 3: Contact error (Feet were not wet for Body fat reading, feet aren’t big enough to reach sensors)
  • Error 4: Body fat is out of range
  • Error 5: Water is out of range
I got an ERR2 message and now the scale doesn’t work. What should I do? The following reset procedure is used when the scale shows an err2, err, 0.0, inaccurate weight, or some other unusual error.

Weight watcher scale not calibrating weight correctly
Press the scale once with your foot. All screen options should display to initialize and then go to 0.0. Now step on the scale. It should read out your correct weight. If not, first remove and replace the battery for reset. If still not, replace the battery. If still not it's ready for return or replacement. Hope it works! Dave - CA
