Question about Homedics Health & Beauty
Hi.
I have a Homedics Professional Percussion Massager with Heat, Model PA-2H that stopped working. It has had a decent lifetime, many years, but I don't like to toss things without at least trying to repair them. However, I am at a loss for this one. Has anyone worked on one of these before? What should I look for when I take apart? Is there anywhere on the web that I can get images/diagrams to help me? Near the end of its working life, so to speak, I could hear something rattling inside, so thinking maybe there's a loose screw or connection.... not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! (P.S. Don't care much about the heat feature, just want it running).
I have a homedics home chair massager, no heating feature, that simply stopped running after many years. No symptoms, no drop off in performance. One day it worked, the next day it did not.
The wiring runs inot a circuit board so unless there is any easy fix to change the transformer (if that is the cause of the problem) then it certainly does not bode well fro a home repair, or any repair at all.
I do not think the wirings for such a device are available onbline, you should call the factory to get a service manual before starting the repair job.

Hi there , I can see tehre are two post in same question.
My previous comment was an answer to the first post.
If the problem is the power unit (transformer) that is easily replaceable, and even if this repair should not be done by the user for safety reasons, it can be done by any local electronic or appliance technician.
The best way to proceed is finding a technician willing to do the repair.
Then you ask the technician to test wiring and board at component level, better replacing a $1 capacitor , rather than the whole power board.
If the technican cannot find the blown component, then you can contact Homedics to order a replacement power board. See links below:
