Like every other camera. First charge the battery. Then place the battery and a memory card. Put the rail with the green camera on or next to it, on the green camera loge. (that is the automatic mode) Then switch on the camera. Point the camera to a subject you want to image. Then press the shutter release button half and wait tick the camera has focused. Most of the time you hear a beep or see a light becoming green. Then press the button compete and the picture is made. Only when you are familiar with this, you can go on and work with menus to get other (not always better) results.
Everything is in the manual, that came with the camera.
