If your Internet Service Proviser supplied the modem they would have supplied the driver including the configuration detail embeded in the CD.
If you don't have the CD, you need to contact your Internet Service Provider for this setup info plus installation CD and if they didn't supply the modem then you need to go to the Siemens WEB site to download the driver for your model modem.

If Siemens no longer has a driver nor support this modem and you don't know the configuration IP address, I suggest you get a new modem that your Internet Service Provider recommends. You will need the setup info from the Internet Service Provider to configure the modem.

Connecting modem via ethernet cable

I'm not an expert in window based units but since it worked with Vista OS and not with XP. Sounds like you might try re-installing XP again. Take note on any windows that refer to the ethernet port during installation. It is likely you might of hit "next" without reading all the text. I know I have in the past. I changed over to mac and I know longer have any problems only at work but give then I give it to the IT Dept and wait and wait and wait.

Asdl modem

? You don't need a driver for the modem unless you have it hooked up via usb. If you are using USB go get a PCI nic card and install it. That's an easy way around needing a driver

Configuring the usb

First, make sure that the device is working properly on the device manager of your computer. Then, set the wireless settings of the router to the wireless adapter. You can use the wireless utility built in to windows (XP and Vista) or the utility that came with your adapter to fix that.

Normally, the limited or no connectivity may mean that there is a wireless security set on your network and that the network key is set incorrectly. If you are using Vista or XP, try to remove the preferred networks and reconnect once again with the correct key.

Hope this helps

I want to install a Siemens SpeedStream 6520 wireless modem but have no installation disks.

If you're talking about the drivers for Windows XP, click on this link.

For Windows Vista, go here instead.

You will need to extract those packages once they download, and run them. You should have no issues after that!
