Is the phone locked with any particular network...if so it will work only with that network and will not recognize other networks...it will show error message like "Invalid" or "not valid" or "error sim"...To unlock the network lock you can approach Superunlockcodes.com and get the required unlock code along with free unlock instructions for your Nokia X6 16GB.

go to network menu and select Automatic network that problem will be solved if not them show it in to nokia care
