Belkin network adapter driver problem

I cannot load my belkin network adapter card driver; stops at 'service or service display name already in use'. Believe this is a registry or services problem outside my level of expertise. Help?

This driver is constant problem, the best way to do it is to remove the driver and the adapter. re install the software, then connect the adapter to a different usb port and try again, or, connect the adapter and then when it asks for a driver point it to your cdrom where you have the driver disc and force it to install from there, once installed, open up the belkin manager console and dissable it and allow windows wireless zero configuration to run the adapter it is more stable

Belkin 802.11g wireless card will not connect after service pack

Make sure the belkin has the latest drivers...
http://www.belkin.com/support/

After that you can make sure that your PC is fully updated, with any patches that have come out after SP3.

If neither of these work i would just go to SP2 untill belkin or microsoft finds a solution.

Utility not displaying to select network

I don't know what it is with Belkin and their drivers, I have the same problem with their USB adapter. It usually takes a couple of goes to get their utility to work. When you are installing it make sure Windows is installing it from your cd and not the generic one. If you cannot uninstall it; it has not installed itself correctly. If you are unable to remove it, search the Belkin folder and manually delete, then download this free excellent programme to remove all traces of Belkin then try again. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ If Windows 2000 driver doesn't work for you try Windows XP driver.
