This is a power supply failure.

Make sure that the lamp plug is properly plugged. 3 flashes indicate this or a faulty lamp.

Projector is overheating. Turn the projector off and let it cool for 30 minutes.
Clean the air filter and check all ventilation holes for blockage.

Hope that helps..........

you can purchase and replace the blower assembly- part # 505-1917-00. it's tricky, but you can do it. find an infocus authorized service center form their web site to buy it.

SOURCE: InFocus projector won't turn on

Sound like either the lamp has prematurely failed or the lamp power supply ballast or igniter has failed.

My infocus 1503 works however once it is turned on the unit sounds as though it is ready to take off. The fan is very loud then after a few minutes it quiets down and then the fan becomes very loud again....

I own two of these projectors. You need to update the firmware to 1.03 which can be found on the infocus website. This solves the fan issues which also causes premature shutdown of the projector. Once you download the update, open it, there will be step by step instructions on how to do this procedure. I could not get this to work with Vista 64 so you might need to run this on XP or 7.
