My videos and dvds show on the TV screen in green

Select SOURCE on tv to dvd or component or dvi or auxilary etc

try to connect dvd any other hdmi input of ur tv. and try again. or connect ur dvds component video output to ur tvs component video input.and then try. if u have any other hdmi device connect it to ur tv and test the tv , is it has any trouble.

Ur video board that connected to the CRT long neck(tv tube).Have burn,capacitors?Or cold solder socket pins connected to the crt tube,must resolder,might solved prob.

I would try a System Update this seems to solve a lot of "Don't Play or Stops Playing" Issues. On the PS3 go to the 2nd Row from the Left in the Crossbar (Menu) Scroll up to the Top and click on Check for Update. If not then i would check how you have the system hooked up and if it is allowing 1080i or 1080p to pass through to the TV. Only Component (Red, Green, Blue cable) or HDMI will pass these signals to the TV! DVD's are 480i which the Yellow, White and Red cable they give you will not show HD!

did you tap your external monitor key,and also what resolution is your computer set at.
if too high it may not show picture.

probably the cable box, scrolling bars are a clasic sign of this

It sounds like you have tried changing imputs " usually the issue". The next step is to see if it is still under warranty and get an estimate of how much it will cost to fix. Invest in a good surge protector.
