SOURCE: no power

Disconnect your power. Remove the batter (CMOS), unlplug the power cable harness to motherboard. Plug in your main power cable cord (to power supply) then carefully plug the power cable harness to motherboard while simultaneously holding the power switch on computer down. Be sure sweaty palms are not touching the motherboard. power leads, or any other items as not to short any components.

Your power supply is fried. I had the same problem with my Bestec ATX 250 power supply. I fixed the problem by installing the StatTech model: ATXPOWER250. It was easy to install and works well. It is almost identical to the original but more quiet. I got it for $29 at MicroCenter.com. Also at online Newegg.com, Radioshack.com, Provantage.com, June 20,2009

SOURCE: Not getting power to a 580 smartboard.

if you have no led, the board has no power. you can only have 4 usbs in one hub, and each of those usb cables cannot be over 16 feet long. if it's red, it's not communicating with the computer. check the usb port on the computer. disconnect the usb fron the board and reconnect it. if it's amber, there is a checksum error, so reset the SC9 controller by pushing the reset button on the side of the SC9 for no longer than 3 seconds. if the pen tray leds cycle, all should be well.

When you turn on the power are there any sounds or lights coming? If not It sounds like a power supply problem, which is quite common. You need to get a tech to check its outputs. A replacement one is not too expensive and fairly simple to fit, but you need advice to get a quality one

Speakers suddenly dead?

Investigate the "no green light" condition -- did some animal chew through the power-cord? Did some child pull the power-cord out from the outlet? Did your room-mate go on an "energy-conservation" binge, and turn the speakers off?

No power - suddenly went dead, no green or orange power light. There is mains power at the monitor's power input socket.

Check all caps in power supply. Look for the tops of the caps to bulge. Replace any that looks or smell bad, like a sulfur smell. Make sure you put them in the right way. I usually increase a cap that blows. If its a 16v I go to a 25v or a 25v to 35v. keeping the same ufd. Because of the surge, off and on, It helps.

No Picture - Lamp Indicator Blinking

This may be the main power supply, or the lamp supply. This is providing that the new lamp is okay.

The service tech will swap out the modules to service the set.
