The checking of the frame rails for accident damage can be done easily. First place the vehicle over a flat clean cement floor. Select points on the frame rails such as front ends---suspension points---brackets attached to the rails on both sides and rear ends of rail. Make sure the points selected have a corresponding point on the other rail. Using a plumb bob drop the selected point to the floor and make a cross on the floor at that point. . Repeat the process for each selected point. The more points the easier to find where the rails are bent and by how much. Move the car out of the way and using a tape measure the distance diagonally between same points.-- EI-- from left hand front end to right hand rear end. Repeat the measuring from the opposite corners By measuring from one point on one side to the second point on the other side you will develop a continually crossing pattern of measurements. So in the end if you selected 4 points per side you will have 3 sets diagonal measurements on the floor or more . As you measure write the dimension on the floor. Now if there is a difference of more than 1/4 "(6mm)between any set of diagonals you will see if the rails are bent and if they are bent right or left or bowed in the middle. By measuring the heights of the corresponding points and recording them you will see if the rails are bent up or down. I understand it is a bit long winded but you will be in effect transposing the measurements of the points of the rails onto the floor so that the differences can be measured without the problems of items interfering with straight line distances.

Where is the vin number on a 1999 kawaski mule located, need help

According to Kawasaki the sidexside has the vin located on the forward front frame rail below the seat. If it is a trans4x4 model then it is located on the left rear driver seat frame rail, if it happens to be a 600 or 610 model on the frame rail over the fuel tank. If it is an older model, then it is located near the front of the vehicle.

I have a 2002 Saturn. Hit a guard rail and bent teh front drivers side rim. That was onthe only visible damage. put a new wheel on and it rubs the fender well, the ower control arm and strut are bent....

you could of snapped the bumper pins. if the front bumper looks out of shape lift up if it does lift up and go back down the pins have snaped. you will need to replace the pins and maby the plastick holders.

Lower part of wheel is bending under car

The sway bar gives from side to side so I doubt your problem is in that. Of course it is really hard for me to pinpoint your problem without inspecting the vehicle, how hard did the vehicle hit the curb? If it hit it pretty hard and severely bent the lower control arm, I would suspect that you have some frame damage.

You need to really inspect the frame where the lower control arm mounts, it may help to look at the other side and compare it to the damaged side. You'll be looking for slight wrinkles or bends in places near where the control arm mounts or follow back and keep looking for any signs of slight signs of damage.

And, are we talking about the front, rear or both on the vehicle?
If it's the rear, the rear is weaker than the front. Follow the frame rail all the way towards the middle and look for signs of damage.

If you look closely, you should be able to find the damaged area.
It being a '94 it doesn't take much damage for your insurance to total the vehicle out, (if you happen to have full coverage insurance and file it.)
I hope this may help.

Diagram of engine

The radiator cooling fan control module (also known as "radiator cooling fan relay", athough is is a solid-state control module - not a relay) is located on the left frame rail just behind the front bumper/headlamp area. You must to get under the vehicle and look up to see it. It looks like the picture below.

I hit a curb with my front passenger wheel. Since

You probably bent the rim slightly or knocked off a wheel weight, just get your front wheel re-balanced.

Alignment causes a pull not a vibration, and it takes a hard hit to bend a frame.

I bet you this is not more then a 50 dollar fix.

Cheers,

My lifted 4x4 struck the base of a tree with only the right front tire, driving it up and back.the right wheel apears to be slightly turned out,and the frame crossmember is bent and or cracked.the right 36...

The cross member must be replaced. The frame is probably not bent, unless you were going 50 mph or so. It could be straightened in any event. Not knowing the make & model also makes this a tough question to accurately answer.

How to install rear end on firebird 1995

It sounds like you broke your pan hard bar, or it's mount. If this has happened you need to check your lower arms also to make sure they did not get bent in the process. The pan hard bar extends from the rear axle housing to the frame, wich is braced to the opposite frame rail. I would think if it or the mounting bracket is bent or broken is should be pretty noticable. You will have to look under the car at the back side of the housing, in front of the gas tank. You may need a flashlight to see up to the frame rail bracket.
You can try a Camaro/Firebird "club" type web site to help find pictures. I do not know of any right off hand.
Good Luck,
Richard

The sub frame is also known the engine cradle assembly, if it is damaged get another from a wrecting yard, without allot of special equip and tools you are wasting your time trying to repair the old frame, of course I don't know how badly it is damaged so this could be incorrect.
