How do I replace an old obsolete wall air conditioner

Not really my thing but I'll have a go anyway. As far as I recall these units are wall mounted and are not connected to anything other than a power outlet. If I'm right then it should be fairly simple to remove it from its mountings. Disconnect the power lead and then (probably) remove the cover so that you can get at the mounting screws. If the mounting looks like the 'hook on' type just slacken the screws and lift the unit up and off the wall CARE it'll be heavy. If it's not the 'hook on' type you need to support it BEFORE removing the screws otherwise it'll drop like a ton of bricks. Once it's off the wall you should be able to find the ID plate which should have the BTU output and wattage which you need in finding a replacement. Just had a thought, it's possible that the ID plate is on the outside of the AC unit, in which case you've got the info before you remove the unit.

I have no idea where you would go to get a replacement, there's not much call for them in the UK. Good luck.

Measurements to replace R 1460 over the range microwave

Almost all over the range micros are 30 inches wide. They did make a few 36 inch models but most are 30. Top to bottom back measurement can be between 16 to 18 inches. Most makes are similar in size. Back wall mounting plate will have to be exchanged since each company has a slightly different design but the wall plate comes with the new unit along with mounting hardware.

Flat Panel TV WallMounting Instructions
Currenttrends Flat Panel LCD and Plasma HDTV's are making TV's thinner, lighter andmore powerful. Superior high definition viewing, affordable pricing with addedspace and energy savings are only just a few practical reasons for purchasing anew HDTV. With newer thinner designs, LCD and Plasma HDTV's are ideal for wallmounting. Wall mounting your television frees up space and adds a new elementof aesthetic appeal to your home theater. Positioning Before getting into any hardware mounting, find the best possible position to mount your television. Because wall mountingan HDTV is more of a permanent solution, careful planning is needed whenintegrating the television into your home design.
Furniture placement, overall themes, viewing angles, and the best audiopositioning are all factors that will help determine the placement of the LCDor Plasma TV.
Once you have decided the general positioning of the wall mount installation, cut out a piece of cardboard or wrapping paper in proportion the of theflat panel television. Next, approximate the placement by taping the piece ofcardboard or wrapping paper to the wall where the TV will be placed and mark itwith a pencil.
Preparing the TV Removethe stand from the television and lay the TV on its face. Locate the fourmounting holes on the back of the television and remove the bolts. Next, removethe mounting arms or mounting plate from the wall mount packaging.
To attach mounting arms, line up the arms vertically and parallel to each otherusing the mounting holes on the back of the television. Make sure that they arein perfect alignment and bolt the arms using the bolts and washer supplied withthe wall mount.
If you are using a mounting plate, simply line up the holes with the mountingholes on the television. Secure the mounting plate with the bolts and washersincluded with your wall mount.
Preparing the Wall Locatethe studs closest to the desired position using a stud finder and mark themwith a pencil. Remove the wall mount from the package. Line up the wall mountup to the studs within the center of the marked position you determinedearlier. If it is not perfectly centered, wall mounts can be adjustedhorizontally at a later time.
Using a level, line up the wall mount and mark the positioning of where hebolts will go. Drill holes into the stud about 1" deep, drill bit depends on the of bolts supplied with the wall mount. Bolt the wall mountto the wall with bolts and washers, but don't tighten down the boltscompletely. Adjust the position of the wall mount left or right to center it toyour desired position. When you are done, tighten the bolts the rest of theway. Mounting the Television Attachingthe television to the wall mount takes two people. Simply lift the televisionand hook it to the wall mount. At this point you can further adjust thepositioning horizontally to center it perfectly. Once the desired position isacquired, tighten down the screws that attach the mounting arms or plate to thewall mount.

We just purchased new Uniden phones, Model no. DECT1480-4. I was told at the store that I could wall mount it. There was no plate for wall mounting. Can I get one and if so how much is it and where can...

Did you find your solution? You need Uniden wall mount adapter GBCT2B5319Z, but their site lists it as "back-ordered." (I am looking to buy this phone set but, like you, want it wall-mounted, and have not found this mounting adapter in stock on the Web yet.)

Re:D-Link dgs-1005d mounting plates

For this as per my knowledge there are no extra mounting plates comming commercially. But itself having some mounting tools such as wall plug, screw etc. in it's package....and for permanent installation if you need it very much you can order such thing in turning workshop...but try to use it in friendly environment....because those are heat and hazard sensitive for heavy duty.....All the best.

I have sound but no picture on my 32 inch LCDHD TV/DVD. Picture flashes for a second an then the screen goes blank. Thanks Bill

This problem is caused by one of thee problems.
1) The inverter board(s) is bad.
2) Power to the inverter board(s) is off.
3) The CCFT(cold cathode fluoresent light) is bad.

Since the picture flashes for a second you may also check for loose connections for the above items.
Here is a simple test you may also try. With the TV on take a bright flashlight and press it against the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight. This will verify that an image is being sent to the screen.
