Anonymous Posted on Aug 22, 2013

This Panasonic steam iron PN NI-S300TR has been dissambled, the main Heating resistance functions, in the equipment we find a small elecronic board with a relay, integrated circuit etc, and a thermostat element PWANF16 or PWHA16 with a small round metallic element like a resistance that we cannot identify clearly. Which of these 2 last elements could be damaged and where can we buy them ? Thanks for help, Fernand

Why are there hard deposits in the boiler of my eurosteam iron?

Tap water contains minerals/chemicals, whether it's from a well, or from a city source. When water is heated to steaming, these minerals, precipitate out of the water and form deposits. Use some vinegar. The mild acid will help loosen the deposits... and from now on use distilled water.

My boiler keeps making a ringing sound. Like a small bell on a bike. What could be causing this noise

Note sure if its the same thing but my boiler (halstead Best 50) made a ringing sound just like you describe. It was the flue fan blades just catching the metal surround of the flue vent on occasions. It only happened when the boiler had been running a while. A new fan was fitted and everything ok now.

I " inherited" this iron without a manual. How do I retract the cord on my cordless iron? It refers to a button but I can't locate it.

I never saw an iron with a retractable cord . The cover would have to be large enough to accomodate the cord and the heat from the iron could melt the cord. Are you sure it supposed to work like that?
