I cant find the driver for my e machines 820 ethernet connector. Its a Trigem alaska motherboard, but i cant find a downloadable driver for this.....its driving me mad, as the pc is still working great but i cant use the internet.... Emachines have been NO help whatsoever, as its an old machine.

Apparently just BIOS upgrades available from TriGem. Don't know exactly as I do not read Korean. Driver info listed I DO recognize, doesn't 'light up', when mouse cursor goes over it. BIOS upgrade does.
(Have any Korean store near you that sells Korean food? Perhaps you could ask those nice folks. You could show them using a phone, or laptop. Hey, just a thought )

Motherboard chipset drivers go to Intel Support.

The motherboard chipset is an Intel 845.
Northbridge chip, of the motherboard chipset that is under that Black finned Heatsink, will have the Intel part number - Intel 82845

Southbridge chip, of the motherboard chipset, and the chipset you can see the part number on, is Intel 82801BA,

IE: motherboard name ethernet driver you might have to try a few times to get it right

The driver should be on the motherboard disc or the one supplied by your ISP internet service supplier
make very sure all leads are plugged into their specific connection plugs you might have to connect the usb lead to your modem to get a connection then
click start control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to network adapters could see a yellow question mark? right click install drivers

Run the driver once again, when windows detect the device, dont reply, just let the driver finish the installation. then restart the pc. thats it. thanks

for any Emachine bios or driver updates please go to www.gateway.com/support and search for model specific bios etc from there, gateway is the owner of the Emachine brand name

TriGem 011027 (Lomita)

As far as I know the only jumper settings for this motherboard are very limited. The jumper settings stated on the link above are for clearing CMOS settings and Clearing Bios password.

I would suggest booting into the Bois settings to see if you can disable the on board Ethernet controller there, it should be in I/O devices settings.

ok here is link for the chipset on the motherboard........this should work if it doesn't let me know....
this is the audio driver i got for someone else but on the left in the box you will see " additional downloads " click on that it will give you all the drivers to that chipset.
