How can I reinstall my acer orbi cam my daughter deleted it and now I cant get it back, can you please help and I have Windows Vista or can you suggest some better that will work with windows vista cause it was not working
Hmm well here are the directions to follow if you are using XP (as you mentioned at the end of your problem) it may also work when used with vista.
Press ‘Alt + F10' to start eRecovery Management.
Enter default password of 6 zero's. Example: 000000 (Note: if this default password does not work, then a different password has taken its place. Acer is not responsible for any forgotten or misplaced passwords.)
Select ‘Recovery Actions' and click ‘Next'
Select ‘Reinstall Applications/drivers' and click ‘Next'
On the left hand side of the newly opened window select the following: Windows XP ? Driver ?Camera
On the right side of the same window, click ‘Install Camera Driver Now'
The unit will reboot after the installation is complete.
install your drivers brunella then do a windows update ignor when pop comes up says cant do it with the continue button hit continue on the driver install and do windows update
windows vista doesnt like the older equipment for some reason it doesnt work well with some new hardware just to let you know vista is still in its infancy stage getting better as its source and updates go along

Hi, I think ur laptop webcam driver not installed properly. If ur laptop have windows vista operating system then do these steps. Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager. In that recovery manager, click on next. Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times. Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button. After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it. If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it. If u doesnt have webcam drivers then u go for nearest service centre and install it.
unfortunately there could be the possibility that your acer cam is not compatible with vista.. vista is a tricky os right now so it is particular on devices and compatability issues--i was an early adoptor and it isn't fun.. i would check out logitech cams, they seem to work well but look for the vista compatible.. you may want to visit your acer website and see if there are any update or downloads for current users that now have vista.. hope this helps..

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering technology Acer E-recovery - choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say extracting) - once extracted - click Install - click Vista on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the right side of the screen, click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions.
** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.
