Audio output only out of one output

hello sir,

often this is sound IC fault, if one IC there change it and it will fix the other audio output, as the sound IC have two outputs and one of it doesn't output the audio,

if two sound IC's, it's a must one of it is faulty, you better change both for long run of the audio amplifier

good luck

Sharp 20v-w70m speaker and IC ok but no sound

Check the input voltage to IC. If it is absent, the IC won't work. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts.

Sound on tv went completely off

Hello there,
The problem simply is that the sound IC is bad that is why the sound went off completely. First be sure that the television is not on mute, then you go ahead to replace the sound IC.
To replace the sound IC, turn to the back of the television, but before you do so, turn of the television and allow the high voltage dissipate for a while before you start working on it.
Unscrew the screws around the television, then you open up the back cover, then you trace the wires of the speakers, it will lead you to a board, on that board is where the IC that is bad is lying.
Have the board replaced or fix the bad IC and the television will produce good sound once again.
Hope this helps. Goodluck Elect_Comp

Why are the speakers not working? The volume button works.

Hello,

First You need to check if the cable that is connecting Your device o any outer source is properly connected, once that is confirmed, then You know the problem is that the sound IC of the television is bad and need to be replaced.
To replace the sound IC, You need to get a cup, a screwdriver and a replacement sound IC, before You get a replacement sound IC, I will strongly advice You disassemble the television first to be able to tell the kind of sound IC You should buy. Follow these steps below to replace the sound IC:
  1. Turn of Your television,
  2. Disconnect it from the power outlet and allow it rest for about 6 hours, so the high voltage on it will dissipate,
  3. Then You unscrew the television open,
  4. Trace the wires that is at the back of the speakers, it will lead You straight to the sound IC,
  5. Disconnect the sound IC and get a replacement for it,
  6. Fix in the new sound IC,
  7. Reverse the steps to reassemble the television back together,
  8. Plug the television back and turn it on,
This time the sound will work perfectly fine.
Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

TV has no sound

Hello

You haven's specified nothing about the picture. Picture is Ok and there is no sound I thinks and posts this solution

Either your TVs speaker or its sound out put ic has damaged. To check it and conifrm you just do this first. There is a stero headphone socket on the front panel of your TV. Insert a headphone pin inot it and listen whether there is sound output come ffrom it or not. If there is sound output from the headphone socket, and not from the speaker, be sure taht the speaker is out.
If there is no sound output from the headphone socet, wither your TVs sound output ic is damaged or it doesn't get proper voltage to go on. It is very easy to locate this IC, as speaker wire goes directly to this section. Just follow the speaker wire and locate the IC, usually screwed on to a metal heatsink. Check its input voltage. If there is no voltage to that IC, check the track associated with that pin. If there is voltages and still not works. first resolder all the pins of that IC by applying a little more solder, whout shorting the adjecent terminals. If this does not helps, replace that IC with same type and number. OK.

My sony KV-G21PD1 sounds are not working

Hello
Either your TVs internal speaker or its sound output Ic has damaged. You can make sure about which part is damaged through the following sugession.
Just place your ear, very close to the TVs speaker side, and switch on your TV with its front panel power switch, not by the remote control. If you can hear a 'thumb' sound or 'HUM' sound, you can make sure that the speaker is ok. If you hear a 'HUM' sound as describe above, make sure that its sound output Ic has damaged. If the sound output Ic has damaged, sometimes you may not hear any sound at all too.
Connect the TVs audio out RCA scoet to an amplifier, if you have, and try to get the sound through it. If there is sound through an external device, make sure once again that the internal sound output Ic has damaged. Speaker can be checked by a torch cell, connecting its terminals to the two leads of the speaker, with two pieces of wire, just intermittent touch, you can make sure that it is ok or not.
To replace the sound output Ic, you must open your TV, and locate the sound output section inside it. It is easy, to do, just follow the speaker wire, and find it from which point from the main board it orginates. Somewhere near to it, you can loact this Ic.
Before replacing the Ic, just measure whethere there is voltage comes to its supply terminal or not. If there is voltage, and no sound at all, replace the Ic with same type and number without any doubt.
If there is no voltage comes to the input pin of that Ic, check the track leading voltage to that point, and find whether there is any resistor has opend or not. Ok
If you need any further assistance, contact me through Fixya.
OK.
