Yes you can jailbreak your iPhone, however if it is "sim" locked it will not work as a phone in most countries still, as the imei number remains the same. Also jailbreaking will invalidate and form of warrenty or support from Apple. Hope this helps. Andy
So a lot of persons jailbreak there devices, and i must say its an awesome experience to have no limits on these phones that comes with so many limitations. But my advice is this, never jailbreak your device while its still under warranty and also never do a tethered jailbreak, a tethered jailbreak is when you have to connect the phone to the PC to get Cidia working again every time the phone is shut off, with an un-tethered jailbreak you just have to do it once. Wondering why i say not to do an tethered jailbreak? Well take this information and scenario into account. Most times when you jailbreak and then revert to normal some apps don't work these might include but are not limited to; Mail, Game Center, Itunes, Facetime among others, so you would have to jailbreak for them to work again. What will you do if for some reason after your phone goes off and you turn it back on and go to your PC to get it jailbroken again and your charge port/tether port doesn't work, you will be unable to use those apps until your able to connect to the pc..... Have fun with your phones and as always thanks for making it Fixya.
There are two types of Jailbreak used for the iPhone. The first one is the tethered Jailbreak. This means that when the phone goes off or you intentionally turned it off, it will not boot without the help of a computer. You have to run the jailbreak program again for the phone to boot up. It's in a way a hassle for some since sometimes, you can't help it but you really have to switch the phone off.
The other type is the untethered Jailbreak which simply means that you will not have any problem whatsoever when you turn the phone off and restart. There are just some firmware versions wherein we are left with no choice but to have a tethered jailbreak simply because there are no other options available. But right now, almost all versions can use the untethered jailbreak thanks to the advent of new discoveries by the Dev Team.
That is LG VU not VUE...You can Unlock the Phone easily using the Unlock code,You can get the Unlock code from here Theunlockarena and Unlock it from Network Lock...
If you just jailbroke your phone (which is now legal by the way so I can actually answer this question), sometimes it will fail to boot fresh off the jailbreak.
Assuming this is an untethered jailbreak, all you should have to do is simply turn your phone off (hold the sleep button for five seconds, then swipe the red bar to power down) and turn it back on. If this is a tethered jailbreak, put your phone back into DFU mode and in the jailbreak software just select the checkbox that says boot tethered (it's most likely the last one on the list).
Unlocking iphone is not at all a big problem now. But You should be very careful, while trying to unlock your Iphone. Always go for a trusted vendor or website or application to do that. I have unlocked and jailbreaked my iphone 4 from Jailbreak Unlocker Pro. It worked well without any trouble.Try this. This is the most safest way to unlock or jailbreak your iphone. The service is great and price is very low....
when you say can't connect to internet, do you mean on the handset itself or with it hooked to computer? If the problem is when hooked to a computer as in to tether the internet, then I am betting the carrier sent out a software update to block that feature. I was having the same problem with my VUE and found out that my carrier AT&T did a software update and blocked the tether on it..hope this helps..
1: open youtube.com and search "lg vu themes" 2: open another with lg-vu.com
use the youtube tutorial with lg-vu.com and just follow EXACTLY.
some things are not explained, like instead of his first download you need the 32 or 64 bit usb modem driver
also you MUST buy a USB data cable, afterwards just follow along and i hope this helps you. You should finally be able to sync and skin/theme etc....LG has failed its large spending customers again
