Yes it is. Apple decided to replace one of its most useful applications, Google Maps with its own version, Apple Maps. Compared to Google Maps, Apple maps display much less information like certain street names, street directions, and subway stops. Moreover, Apple Maps does not have the street view feature that Google Maps has. It should be noted that Apple Maps is a brand new application and will certainly change for the better in time.

Apple iPhone 5 • Answered on Apr 24, 2021

I have an older iPhone 5 as a work phone on pay as you go as it only sees occasional use on field trips. Phone was unused for about 3 months and when I tried my usual 3 monthly text message send and balance check to keep the number 'alive' I was not able to slide to unlock. A box would appear around the slide to unlock words but would not slide to unlock. in fact nothing would select or slide. Looked at various tips online with no joy or no real help....lots of iOS guff etc...! I found the solution was easy... with good charge level in phone and with phone turned and hold in both the home button and volume + key - and hey presto! Might go in to voice control but then you can quit out of that. May be a useful tip to someone, and might help. Best of luck - Rental John.

Try closing all the open apps. Double click on the home button and long press (press for about 3 or 4 seconds) an app on the bottom tray. Tap on the red X and close each app. Don't worry, it's not deleting the apps, just closing them from the background. Try closing them all and see if that speeds things up. Good luck!
