After installing Windows XP you need to install the Toshiba Tecra laptop device drivers.
You can download any/allthe Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model laptop from the ToshibaWEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptopso you can get the correct drivers. open the back of the computer , remove plastic cover , there you will find a battery, Lithium (size of a quarter), discoonect the connection for 30 seconds , place it back

if no connection present, remove the battery (carefully) and place it back after 30 seconds

Go to the toshiba web site
Click Support >Mobile Computing>Drivers and downloads

You will be directed to the page Drivers and Downloads by Model.
On the left box Choose Notebook, then select Tecra, then Tecra A8.
In the last box you have to select the specific version of the Tecra A8.

Once you do that, you will end up on the page where all software for the model is listed. You can then download what you need.
