It could also be possible that the drivers for your USB ports need to be updated.

  • Anonymous Aug 28, 2007

try using another USB port, could be that one is damaged.

  • Anonymous Aug 28, 2007

I would say try hooking it to another computer if you have one to see if the camera is even working.

But finally, if that doesn't work, give tech support a call...maybe this model has a specific quark that is special to it.

Sorry i couldn't help much otherwise

Hello,
This device is made for windows 95- Vista. There are no officially supported windows 7 drivers yet so if you are running windows 7 you may run into issues. The unit draws power from your USB port and will not work as good if plugged into a passive USB hub so make sure to plug it directly into a USB 2.0 port on your PC / MAC.
I suggest downloading the latest drivers from the internet as the CD drivers pay be outdated.

How do i hook up a web camera

Basically. You plug in the USB cable. Install the proper drivers. And use the software you want, to use that camera.

The webcam button on my yahoo messenger is gray. It won't let you select it. My husband is in Afghanistan. We used it the other day and he was able to see me. Now it won't work. Help please!

If it is a built-in webcam like in the edge bezel of a laptop monitor, look for a disc from the manufacturer to try and reinstall the driver for the camera.

If it is a camera that you plug into a USB slot, try plugging it into a different USB slot while the computer is on. If Windows doesn't recognize it and install the driver after you've plugged it into a new port, you may need to get the CD that came with it and use that to install (follow directions, which usually include not plugging the camera in until after you ran the CD, or during the middle of it) or if you don't have the CD, you can probably visit that manufacturer's website and download the driver or installation program.

GE MiniCam Pro

I realized that my daughter didn't follow the directions exactly. So I un-installed the drivers and then just like the directions said. I loaded the drivers without the camera plugged into the computer. After the drivers were loaded I rebooted my computer and then plugged the camera in and it worked. Hmmm funny thing that it works when you follow the directions from the beginning.

Digital camera keychain by bell marscam

After you delete very thing you have installed on your computer that has anything to do with your camera,
Download this and don't have your camera plug into your computer then install this it works....

: MR97310c Mini Digital Camera Drivers Version 2.03 All Functions work.zip

* Turn on your computer or reboot.(this ensures consistent starting point)
* Connect your camera to the PC using USB 1.1 cable.
* When the found new hardware window opens install drivers automatically.
* * the found new hardware window may open up more than once. If so then click install drivers automatically for each time it opens up.
* Double click the "PCCam" shortcut in your "All Programs" menu and follow directions.

If this does does not work ...

* Check to make sure the USB port is working properly in device manager.
* Make sure your computer is running a fully updated version of supported Microsoft Windows platform. Check computer properties for version of OS.
* Try having the camera turned on before connecting it to your computer.

Connection between camera and computer

What operating system are you using? Is you camera connected via USB? Have you tried using another USB port? Did you make sure to install the software before plugging in your camera?

Generally if you are running Windows 98, you will need to reboot after installing the software to even have a chance of the camera being recognized correctly.

If you are running Windows 2000, XP or Vista, the camera should be recognized and a driver installed or searched for from the CD software you installed before plugging in the camera.

Sometimes if you plug in the camera first without installing the software, the PC finds a new device with no driver. You can see this by going to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager and you should see and exclamation on a device in the list. You need to remove this item and reboot your PC.

Now install the software first and when the install is done, then plug in your camera. Generally this works out pretty well.
