Find the brand and model, then try typing brand etc. into web browser, most all manufacturers have sites for their products. So just type it in and give it a try. If you had posted the brand I may have been able to direct you to a link that would help you.
The Q box in most of these is directly related to the optical light engine--a new engine comes with a new Q box and has instructions on how to Link the two together--if old Q box is left there will be issues that affect picture quality.
It is a block unit that installs in the set and should only be used with the light engine it was programmed for.
