In need of welt foot for rex 26-188 sewing machine. Is there one that is available for another machine that will work?

Well I'm not sure if this is a solution but, most walking foot machines are either like the Juki 562 or 3 and the Singer 111, 211  or newer models. REX's are particularly original, they should be using a very similar welting foot. Many industrial sewing stores in LA have them.. Kyle

    You really don't have a clue what you are talking about. REX uses a proprietary foot.
    What does 'very similar' mean. Its either exact or it will not work. Kyle if you don't have a correct
    answer, just say you so, Fred

Suggest checking with your local Husqvarna Viking store for parts you need. A "welt cord" foot may not be available for your machine. Sewists will usually use a zipper foot since it can get the needle close to the welt cord.

Hi John, doing my best to help if I can. Most sites I have checked don't even have the 26-188 listed. I understand why you gave us a shot.

Try these folks. The site is lethargic as far as navigation but... check out the welt feet. You may have to go by size vs brand.
