providing the actual dump message will greatly increase the chances of a correct diagnostic of the problem. (yes the message actually tells us why it goes to physical mem dump) other than that i'd check the fans and fins for dust buildup (causes overheating)
Welcome to Fixya, it's damnor01 here your computer Expert.
Your computer is dumping memory. This is refered to the the Blue Screen Of Death or BSOD for short.
It is not a good thing it is bad.
It usually happensbecause of too much heat.
In other words your computer is getting too hot. Clean the computer of all dust, dust reduces airflow through the heatsinks and therefore your computer operates at a high temperature.
Install as many fans as your computer chassis will allow.
Ensure that your Virus scanner is up to date and perform a virus/anti-malware scan, as viruses stress the computer system unnecessarily.
This is called the Blue Screen of Death or BSoD, this usually happen if u plug in or insert any new hardware. If u have recently added any new hardware, try it out, after plugging off the newly inserted hardware.
Could you please provide me the exact error message? However to stop the system shutdown first follow these steps. Disable automatic system restart. 1.Restart the computer and press the f8 key to open the Advanced Boot Options menu. 2.Select the Disable automatic restart on system failure option. 3.Restart the computer to accept this change.
Then go to safe mode This problem occurs after a memory dump file (error log file) is written by Windows XP. Because the memory dump file flag not reset in Windows XP the memory dump file will contiue to be written every time Windows is restarted.
1.Restart the computer and immediately press f8 repeatedly. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and then press enter . 2.Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select Properties . 3.Click Advanced system settings , grant permission to continue if prompted, and then click the Advanced tab. 4.On the Advanced tab, click Settings
In the Virtual Memory section, click Change .
For Paging file size for selected drive, click No Paging File , and then click Set .
Click Yes after the following warning appears:
If the paging file on volume X: has an initial size of less than xx megabytes, then the system may not be able to create a debugging information file if a STOP error occurs. Continue anyway? (X is the drive letter and xx is the amount of RAM installed on your computer minus 1 megabyte.)
Click System Managed Size .
Click OK four times to return to the Windows Desktop Screen and then restart.
For more information plz check the below doc from HP. I hope this will definitely resolve your issue. If not plz get back with the exact error message so I can give you better solution on this. If you find this helpful then Plz vote for me..Dreamkam
Physical memmory dump( blue death) as it is called happens due to various reasons, which are related to harrdware failure or overloading of hardware.
it can happen if the ram, cpu or the harddrive have some problem in connectgionn with the motherboard- try cleaning the sockets of the RAM and trying agin.
the blue scrreens means windows went through a critical error<which is hardware related>. if it happens some times its nothing to worry about but if it happens often then you need to get your hardware checked by soem professional as it be corrupted somehow.
There are essentially two major causes of the physical memory dump screen: Running way to many programs at once, errors in the Windows registry. The first cause can be fixed rather easily. Simply run fewer programs or purchase additional RAM or processor upgrades. Your computer is running past its specified limits. But keep in mind the blue screen of death should happen very infrequently. If you see the physical memory dump blue screen more often then the problem is errors in the Windows registry. This is a more abit of a harder problem to deal with. The registry is the most important component of your computer. The registry contains settings and information to run all software and hardware on the computers. When there are errors in the registry it disrupts the computers ability to communicate. When the system cannot compute, it freezes up and displays the Windows blue screen. I found a registry cleaner that is free and works rather well. It is named cCleaner, has been around for some time and did I mention FREE...Download it from thelink below run it should clean up your registry...where good men fear to tread.
physical memory dump occurs when more than 1 program try to occupy same space in RAM.
Actually there are many products available in the market for this.
i just recommend you to download and install trial version of IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC and run it on your pc.
this will solve your problem
