Hello, I have a Fritzbox 7170, a PC and an IBM Notebook. The Wlan Bridge soesn`t send the SSID. The buildin Wlan Configuration Tool of my IBM doesn't show any wireless network. I connected the Bridge to my Notebook by cable and tested several progs like [email protected] etc. I can't connect to the Bridge. I think I need this tool from Lanready but I don't find it to download.
    Thank you for your help.
And I'm sorry for my english ;-)

I have this same access point and was wondering if anyone can recall the default IP address and login information to get into the configuration. I reset it and DHCP is turned off inside so I don't know the IP/Gateway.

Apple extreme bridged to apple extreme (Windows network)

Hi,
OK, do you have the latest version of Apple's Airport Utility: Version 5.4.1 (541.9) ?
If you don't, get it... it's got an excellent interface that will walk you through bridging two wireless routers together.
Once you get your hands on it, you will need to choose which airport will be the primary and which will be the secondary. Ideally, pick the one connected to the highest speed and most reliable internet access.
Connect to the secondary airport and configure it as bridge to the primary, the Airport Utility will walk you through it step by step.

Can you help me please??

you need to setup a network bridge between the tower pc and the xbox 360

Select Control Panel/Network Connections and while hovering over Network Connections, right click and choose Open. This will open a panel that should list your network connections.
This image shows all my existing network connections. Yours may not have the same adapters. The two adapters that matter are your wireless adapter and your Ethernet adapter. They will have different names than mine because I have renamed them from their default values. I have highlighted the two adapters in the graphic below.

Step 2 If you have both Ethernet and wireless adapters (and you must in order for this to work), then both of them will be listed in the Network Connections panel. Using the ctrl-click selection method or the drag-area method, select both adapters.

Step 3 Right-click one of the adapters and select the Bridge Connections option.

Step 4 You will see a notification that the bridge is being built. This may take a few moments.

Step 5 Once the bridge is complete, you will see the bridge icon and the network adapters as shown below:
155078597_5226ad3a00.jpg
Step 6 The bridge is only partially complete at this point. To complete the configuration, you need to relate the network adapters to the bridge. I’m not exactly sure why this is because you have to select the adapters to create the bridge in the first place. This is my first bridge, so it’s possible there is a better way of doing it. But this process has worked for me. If you know of a more concise way of configuring the bridge, let me know and I’ll update the process.
In any case, select the bridge, right-click and select Properties:

Step 7 In the Properties dialog, put check marks in the network adapters that you want to bridge. Make sure you select the wireless and Ethernet adapters.

Step 8 Now, the bridge is complete. It will take a few moments for your laptop to finish the configuration, get a new DHCP lease and complete the connections.

To verify if your bridge works, connect the XBox 360 to your laptop’s Ethernet port and connect with XBox Live.

Tring to bridge my 2wire

Why do you need to bridge?

Can't you use both devices off the one router?

usually to bridge you would need, effectively , 2 extra access points to set as the bridges, they then connect to the other routers, allowing communication between the 2.

I do know 2wire is slightly different but you would still need something to act as a bridge on the netgear end.

I still don't understand why you need both routers running. Connect both your computers to the same router which has the internet connection.

Hope this helps

Connection Issues Occur When I Try to Connect Through a Broadband Network Adapter

To resolve this issue, remove the network bridge. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click My Network Places. 2. In the left pane, click View Network Connections. 3. Look for any connection that is bridged. 4. Right-click the bridged connection, and then click Remove From Bridge. 5. Repeat step 4 for each connection that is connected with a bridge. 6. When the bridge is removed from each network adapter, right-click Network Bridge, and then click Delete. 7. Click OK. When the all the bridged connections and the network bridge are removed, the broadband hardware is automatically detected.
