Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... I notice that some of my cell phone wall chargers make a high pitched ringing sound, not that loud though. I think cheaper internal electrical components are the culprit. (Opinion)

Looks like there are some partial defects in the TV and might need attention of a qualified service technician. Anyhow, make sure that the input cable, RC jacks and sockets all do not have any loose contacts. Go through settings and ensure that every set up is as it should be.

First thing to look at is the color wheel this model uses--usually it will make a high pitched fan like sound but can make a grinding sound also.

If it slows down from the 12,000 or so RPM speed it will cause color issues.

HAVE GRINDING OR HIGH PITCHED SOUND?

It sound like you may have sound processor problem which is part of the main board, I would also look at the 12vdc from power supply to make sure it is clean DC.

What is the make an and model of the set?

Is the buzzing from the speakers or from inside of the set?

Is it a high pitched frequency buzz or a low pitched frequency buzz?

There are many things that can cause a buzz in a TV set. In anycase, the set will require tech service.
