just solved same problem today. there was an contact problem on one of the control panel circuit boards. disconnect electric.
remove white cover off door .
remove control panel marking wire locations. take potographs for reference.
examine circuite boards with strong light for failure in solder connections.
use solder and flux to remake contact .

In some cases turning the machine on and off might solve the problem. Good luck !

AEG dishwasher Favorit 86450I displays error code AL7.What does it mean?

i was looking up some info about your dishwasher and this problem might be part of the control board or the pump not turning on in the dishwasher however if one is tech savy you can actually get a ardino board to run the dishwasher (seen on youtube)

I noticed just as going to bed last night that our dishwasher appeared to be making a strange noise (dull buzzing sound), opened door to check and the display has the number 3 flashing, several fault codes...

check the very bottom of washer; look for something jamming the garbage cutting blades. it can be something very small stock half way in the drain causing the blades to stop turning and therefore keeps it from draining water. just an idea

My top dishdrawer is not engaging into the right hand clip, and its not closing The tech that came out said the dishdrawer is warped. is this possible?

Yes plasic and metal alike can warp easily. You can even warp it back if you're willing to take a possible loss. Purchase a heat gun(15-30 dollars) or borrow one and carefull warm the component to above dishwasher operating parameters(120 degrees typically) then using thermal gloves bend it back into the position untill it will fit correctly. Tips: Avoid scorching(burning)plastics. Do not leave heat guns unattended even if unplugged untill cool to the couch. Keep extinguisher on hand. Though risk is relatively low of accident

Hi...can anybody tell me the name of the nylon string with moulded plastic end bits which connect the door hinge to the spring inside a beko dishwasher please. I have been trawling through parts site but...

Hi Chris,

This is commonly called a door hinge rope, hinge cord or hinge cable (or variations of). If you can let me know the model number of the dishwasher, I can check correct part number for your model and find a supplier for you.

Alternatively, the part below fits many Beko models and can be ordered direct from Beko:

If you don't have one of the models listed on that page, click the link below, type your model number into the 'Product Search' box and you should find the hinge rope for your dishwasher listed in the results. Please note, you can only search the Beko site by model number. If you search for the part by name, you wont find it.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know the full model number.

Regards, BElectric

Some advice please. I've been given a Bosch SMS 5072 and I'm fitting it in my kitchen. Is the drain going to work if I push the whole line down through the floor? Or is it like a clothes washing machine...

Hello, Welcome to fixya, Yes indeed it does need to be above the water level in the unit. Bosch recommends "looping" the drain behind the dishwasher or as an alternative as close to the machine as possible and not to exceed '12ft of drain line. Keep in mind the entry point of the hose into the home plumbing must also be above the water level in the machine. I can send you a "pdf" of the Bosch installation guide if you provide an email address and if you're interested. **Also recommended** - If using a "johnston T" or a siphon break, switch the drain pump to a 4 vane instead of the original 6 or 9 vane. Regards, Macmarkus :)

How can I fit a bottom door seal on a Brandt dishwasher please. My dishwasher is leaking but the door seal and gaskets are intact although the sealant which held the gaskets in place has disintegrated....

If the bottom seal is definitely worn then it is quite a simple job.The seal is just pushed into a groove at the bottom of the door,as you pull the old one out be very careful as the edge of the groove is like a knife edge, the new seal will push in gently starting from one end and keep pushing into the groove try not to stretch the seal in length.Another thing to check first is check the bottom spray arm for splits on the edges as this could be directing the water onto the door,if there are splits then the arm will need replacing.

Hope this helps.

The door latch appears to be in the closed position and therefore you cannot close the door.

cut the power to the unit and see if it releases the locking mechanism, then its in the control board circuitry that keeping power on it all the time as if in use with the door closed

Fault light flashing,

Is it please possible for you to add additional comments in your query about dishwasher problem
1. make and model number of dishwasher
2. are there any fault codes or lights showing up - which ones
3. at what cycle does the operation stop - eg still washing and there is water in dishwasher - is it warm/ cold, rinse is starting (can hear the pump) but stops halfway, rinse is complete but does not dry..
4. how old is the unit

clarification on above will help understand the problem better.
