I am able to download Sprint Smartview on my Dell Studio 15 laptop, with Windows Vista operating sytem, but when I try to actuall install it, it gives me the error message ''The wizard was interrupted before Sprint Smart View could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified to complete installation.''
I have tried multiple times to download the software again and or save it and remove it and resave it again and nothing works. I keep getting the same error message the software will just not install on my computer.
I even tried to remove McAfee in order to install the software and it will not work, can anyone please help me?
Smartview is supposed to work with Vista. Did you right-click on the install file and run as administrator?
If you can not get it to work there is a work around.
First, download and install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. After installation, plug in your BlackBerry and start
up the software for the first time. Open the Options -> Connection
Settings… window and set the connection to USB. Plug in the BlackBerry,
enter your password if applicable, and Vista will find the device and
install a “standard modem”.
Open the Control Panel
Network and Internet
Connect to a network
Set up a connection or network
Set up a dial-up connection
Select Standard Modem
Dial-up phone number is #777
Connect.
Everything should work, some have reported faster speeds using this method over the Smartview program.

I did use the install as an administrator feature but it just would not install. Something kept stopping it in the process.

Bperrydore - I am having the same issue but do not have a Blackberry to use they workaround you described. I just need to get my Sprint wireless card working. Is there a way to do it w/o using a Blackberry?

Okay, my connection won't work anymore so I unloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager and reinstalled it and it is still not working with the #777 anymore.
So I ordered a Sprint Broadband Access Card and it came with this stupid Smartview software which still will not load on my computer (Dell Studio 15 Laptop).
The error message I get is:

PLEASE ANYBODY, SOMEBODY, SUGGESTIONS? I can't use the internet at home when this crap keeps happening.
Was Sprint smartview written to run under VISTA? Does it state that it is VISTA compatable?
