You can reset bios password in two ways.
1. Open back cover of laptop,
2.Pull cmos cell from motherboard, wait for 15 minutes then put it back.
3. The computer will not ask password.

Using jumper settings
1. Find the jumper on the motherboard named clear cmos it has 3 pin .1-2-3
2. Place jumper in 2-3 position.
3. Then put it in 1-2 position again.

Go to almico dot com and download the program called speed fan and it will tell you the termps of everything in that computer.

Hi Kwesi Quincy,

The Optical drive (DVD drive) is present on the right hand side in a Dell Studio 1535 system so please press the eject button next to it and see if that helps. You may refer the attached picture which might help.

Does it display anything on your laptop screen. To me it seems like your laptop screen is malfuncting.
Try connecting a second screen to your laptop, see if it displays something

It seems like a hardware issue, this could be your internal CPU fan not working properly. Because of that the CPU overheats and causes the system to freeze. Please get it checked by a tech

Try pressing the ctrl & F-5 or the ctrl & F-8 Keys at the same time while the HDMI is connected to toggle between moitor screen and HDMI screen

stuck key or bad ram

Erm, as I recall when I've had this problem in the past it's because the ram hasn't been seated properly.
Normally it looks good but it just needs a firm, but not aggressive, push. Possibly it could be another connection which is lose but I've always had this issue when it's been a memory problem.
