    Yes I have roadrunner but......when i used the modem that they installed i can watch the whole video but not when i use the belkin router... but i see what ur trying 2 say so what should be the best thing for me 2?

    I have a similar problem. With the Belkin connected a large (200 MB +) download will not complete. It actually shows a download speed exceeding 1200mbps at start and gradually getting slower till it stops completely at a speed indicated around 880. Using just the cable modem (no router) speed indicates a high of around 370 and the download completes without any problem.

    Unable to watch streaming video using my belkin wireless router. i have a cable internet connection and when i directly attach to the cable modem my computer runs fine hoever as soon as my wirless router is connected i cannot run streamig video it hangs up after 5-10 seconds any one know how to fix this?

If you mean by the roadrunner that you are connect via a cable, the reason why the signal may fail and stop you from watching streamed video is that wireless is only 54mbps and not the best speed for streaming, but wired streams at 100mbps and is constant speed whereas wireless doesnt give a constant true speed of 54mbps it can reduce considerably.

    if you wish to stream video it is best using a network cable or a wireless n type router which is 108mbps or 125mbps streaming, but you will also need a supported 108 or125mbps wireless adapter.

> To Get Rid of this Issue 1st of all Disable or Uninstall Belkin Router Utility.

- Goto Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs

- Select Belkin Router Manager Utility & Uninstall It.

> Now you Have to Remove preferred Networks & Join the wireless Network.

Steps to Remove Preferred Network & Joining the Network

- Windows XP

- Goto Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right Click on Wireless Network Connection > Click on Properties > Select Wireless Networks Tab > Under Preferred Networks Box > Select your Wireless Network Name & Click on Remove Button. Close the window

- Right Click on Wireless Network Connection & Click on View Available wireless Networks.

- Wireless Network Connection window will appear. Select the network you wish to connect and click Connect. It will ask you For a Network Key Type in your Password.

- Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Click on Manage wireless networks Right click on your wireless Network > Click on Remove Network .


> Connecting to a Wireless Network.

- Goto Network & Sharing Center Click Connect to

- Select your wireless network & click Connect


- It will ask you For a Security Key Type in your Password.


( If you are unable to go online you can try power cycling the router for about 15 seconds. If Even Power cycling doesn't work that means you have to disable WPS option on the Belkin router)

Forgot passwrod for a belkin g wireless router - how do I recover it?

Hi,

In order to find the wireless security password of your Belkin wireless router , please follow these steps

1. Open up the internet explorer in the comp in which you are online and clear the address bar and type in the number 192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

2. You will be logged into the Belkin router setup page.

3. In the left hand side, under the heading wireless click on Security

4. It will ask for a password to login, leave the password as blank and click on Submit, then you will be find the wireless security page where you can find your password.

Your wireless network must be secured
You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
Is there any computer online using the router.
check the IP address on that computer.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.

Hi Iam wireless router technician
To fix this issue all you have to do is, Make sure that noise is coming from the router first..(If "yes")..Reset the router and re- configure it, Still if you hear the noise..

Confirm the model number( starts with F5D) & version (starts with VER) of your router and cal belkin technical support (toll free number) Explain them the same and you will get free replacement.

nope...
your desktop can also go onlie using the wireless belkin router,so this router will now act as a distributor,you need to setup the router between the modem and the computer that is wired,i hope that when you say modem it is the one provided to you by your internet service provider,what you need to do is to conect the modem to the router and the router to you desktop computer,you desktop computer will go online using the wired connection to the belkin rotuer and you laptops will use the wireless connection..

Belkin n wirelss router setup
To setup the router you will need to log in to your router's control panel. This certainly won't be as simple as on the installer disc, yet it is still do-able. You might also want to contact Belkin's free technical support hot line. They can help you set it up with the method I described above.
