If you're getting an error about the connection you have to make sure that the USB cable (if connected by USB) is plugged in correctly, or you may try reseating it.Unplug the USB cable. Go to the HP website. Go to product support, locate updated driver software for your model. Download it & install. The new drivers will have diagnostic tools, including printhead cleaning, alignment of printhead, and many more. You also may also have diagnostic tool already installed. To find out, try to print something. When it brings up the print window, look at top for diagnostic tool tab or alignment tab. Follow instructions. Hope this helps.
