    Hi, this in not correct,

Ihave an HP Pavilion but it has 4 DIMM slots, and it came with 2 x 512 as standard.

I have just pit 2 x 1Gb in the other 2 slots, and it has booted up fine, system info confirms it is registering 3Gb.

    Be brave, go for it!

According to this website, 1GB is the maximum. Sorry, doesn't seem to be going your way.

Why is my hp pavilion a1220n product number ED904AA-ABA?

Try removing the 512 MB memory to see if it does work with the 1GB stick only.

It's not the power supply that does have a problem. It has something with your memory stick.

What is the ram limit of HP Pavilion 061 EX262AA-ABA s7530n - can I up it to 2 gigs?

usually the processors which we normally use are 32 bit. So we cannot extend the RAM beyond 4gb. That is the maximum limit.

Hp pavilion a503n

Hey, If you have switched out the power supply with known working and it still doesn't power up then it might be your motherboard has gone bad. What happened the last time the PC was on? Did you power it down normally and then it never came back on?
