SOURCE: I just bought a power inverter for use with my pc.

There are two possibilites: the first is the over 400W power draw, the other is how you have the inverter connected. Do you have the inverter connected directly to the battery terminals (the clips) not the outlet plug (cigaretter lighter)? This is needed for any load over 80W and under 400W. (the inverter can handle a load demand over the 400W limit but only for short periods (800W).)

What is the load that your PC pulls (Is it a laptop or a desktop)? The laptop in my home has either a 65W or a 90W load (depending on the battery and the AC adapter we are using). Desktops take much more power (usually).

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: 400 watt inverter Alarm sounding

Check to see if your vehicles battery terminals are clean, and get your battery checked. I have found the people at Battery Warehouse to be great. They will check your battery for you, and if you need a new one, ask if they have seconds. Good batteries with some insignificant blemish. Great deal. And get one with high cold cranking amps.

Shumacher x141b beeps constantly when device is plugged into it. Green light is on, red light is off. Also, fan is surging. It is putting out 110v.

You're running more than the specified power. The refrigerator is an inductive load, which means the power factor Pf will be less than one. Consequently, the power draw from the inverter is Volts x Amps / Pf. Also, if the inverter voltage is less tan 120V, the refrigerator's compressor and fan motors will draw more current than the nominal rating. How much more depends on the motor design. The harmonics from the inverter (it has anon-sinusoidal input) may increase energy loss in the motors, especially if there is a fan with a shaded pole motor (common in refrigerators). The bottom line is that you are probably drawing at least 420 Watts from an inverter rated for 410 Watts. It's very close to shutting down on you, and may cause premature failure in the refrigerator.
I recommend getting an inverter with at least 450 Watt capacity, preferably with a true sinusoidal output, or harmonic content less than 5% under full load..

The output(w) is indicating o.oo and it's indicator light is red .I only have a couple of floor model fans plugged. Should it be showing something and should the light be green?

inverters run on a square voltage unlike normal 110 runs on a round voltage, the only 2 things that won't run on the inverter is fans and electric blankets

Hello, I hear you. Was the reason to supply 240 volts? When you try the inverters separately, do you get 120Volts output? Let us look at the units working individually first and go from there.

Bought a new vector maxxsst 1200 watt inverter

Inverter run on batteries sir, and if these batteries are not charged, the run time {the number of hours it will work} reduces.
S0, you will need to connect the inverter to a power source.Theses will allow your batteries to be charged and enable it to run for a long period of time.
Make sure your batteries are still OK.i.e working properly

I have a vector 3000 watt inveter red fault light is on, wont power a 6.5 amp fuel pump

Check that ground is correctly connected. If nuetral is provided, ensure it too is connected. Your total load is 780 watts. Check power in and ground out of the supply side. There may be a fuse in the inverter on the output side also, replace if necessary. If fault light does not go out after these checks, you will need to contact Black and Decker who manufactures the vector series now.

2nd season with 400 watt vehicle 1024 inverter. The

Restating the question - 400 watt inverter is turned on and running with the vehicle turned off.
After starting vehicle the red light of the inverter is on with no power output from the inverter.
If you turn the inverter off then on inverter operates normally.

Solution - this is normal operation - my inverter does the same thing. When you start the vehicle
it draws a lot of current from the vehicle battery which causes a drop in battery voltage. Most inverters have a low voltage input safety and will fault the device.'

If the problem is turn on inverter then the red light starts flashing... I am thinking you
have the same problem as the one I replaced - it broke... I am sure some capicator
or other component in the circuit failed... My solution was to purchase a new one...

Vector vec 051D 3000 watt fan won't run anymore, unit overheats

your inverter needs to cool at all times , if the fan does not work, try buying a small standing fan to blow cool air to you machine, it is possible that your heater is making the inverter to over heat please avoid using the heater on the inverter

The fan on my 1200 watt inverter does not start when turned on.

No. the fan is to remove heat(obviously) If there is a small or no load on the inverter the fan wont come on(no heat to get rid of)..........this is so a lightly loaded inverter wont kill your batteries as fast.If you load it up(power something big or power several things at once) the fan should start after a few minutes
hope this helps.Good Luck!
