my acer al 1711 monitor goes off after three seconds of applying new
settings with resolution chgs or refresh rate the monitor display is
blank but the light is green.
HTC P3400i display is not working, blank white screen is visible. incoming call is OK. What can be done on this? What is the cost of new Display to upgrade?
It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is
malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display
screen goes blank after a fraction of seconds, it means the
picture
board of your monitor has developed fault.
The best thing for you
to
do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity
or any service center
to help with the replacement of the picture board
because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to
complicate issues.
This sounds like a simple battery replacement. Depending on how low the battery is usually pressing the light button and the display goes dim or blank is a good indicator of this. Takes a CR1616 battery and be careful of the spring inside and make sure the seal is in the correct position. You will need to touch the AC button and the back of the battery with a pair tweezers for a couple of seconds to reset the watch. Put the case back on and set the watch thru the functions.
It appears that the display resolution set in your display properties is out of the range that the LCD can display.
Try this.
Boot to the ENABLE VGA MODE by pressing F8 to get the Windows Boot Menu. If you can get to the desktop, then go to display properties, and see if you can change the resolution to higher settings and maintain video. (If the video blanks out, then it should revert to the previous setting in 15 seconds)
