I have a wem cam but connot display in ym. but it can display in other site

If YM (Yahoo Messenger) is not opening or not working properly, I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall it to your computer. Pls follow the steps below.
Uninstalling/removing YM:
Click Start> Control Panel>> Add and remove Programs, click.

On this page, look for Yahoo Messenger and click Remove, stay there until the page reopens with no Yahoo Messenger there. ReStart your computer, do not miss this step!
To reinstall YM to your computer, Visit this website http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/ and click download now.

The web cam works when you are online in YM or some other chat room. Look to the top of the YM when in chat mood. You will see "Invite to Web Cam" click on this and your cam should automaticly open

you need to think what;s your laptop model
example mmy laptop is dell so in the start button you can see the programs like dell webcam

cek our USB (maybe not connect to our usb)
cek our control panel (is there any web cam there?)
basicaly the WEB CAM -if detetcted- will display at my computer as web cam (theres an icon webcam there, while u can klik it and displaying a tv monitor)
if everything like that, try to uninstall YM, restart our PC and then installing YM again

You need to check your video settings in Yahoo Messenger. If you look at the video settings in MSN you should see your webcam listed as the active device. Now check in YM, is the camera listed? If not can you select it from a drop-down?

Use AmCap to view your webcam without using YM. You can download the software at this site:

http://amcap.en.softonic.com/ .

You cannot use AmCap and YM at the same time , so exit AMCap if you will use your webcam with Yahoo.

Once your webcam software is loaded and working, in most cases the software loaded will provide some kind of display function allowing you to know that the software is working, then load up YM and under the Messenger tab, you will find ' MY WEBCAM '. Select ' My webcam ' and you should start seeing your display while using YM, that is the same display that others will see to whom you give allowance to see your webcam. I.E. you have to personally give each person permission to see your webcam. Until you know more about YM from personally using it and experiencing it, that is all I should say, but I will add one more tidbit. YM 9.0 beta is what I use and I'm quite happy with it as I have better control of the stealth function with it did I had with YM 8.0. Consider that when installing YM

Aspire or Acer brand laptops uses several brands of webcam. Try to download the latest driver from their ftp site and uninstall your existing driver and install the new one.
