Here is a link to medion akoya keyboards for sale on eBay, although none of them mention your specific model. In such cases (I'm a laptop repair pro) I contact the vendor through the "Ask a Question" link under their name and feedback rating and inquire as to matches.

Keyboard freezing is usually an indication of a problem with windows (Usually Spyware or viruses) If you can, download Malwarebytes from download.com and see if it helps

Check first for a spare on Ebay, that will be cheaper than buying a new spare, but parts for this model are difficult to find.

Shure 'nuff. Sounds like either the inverter or backlight. I would go for the inverter as that seems to be the more common item to fail, it usually is cheaper than the backlight, and easier to replace.
