I need a replacement keyboard for Medion laptop model no: MAM2100. OR MD 96327.I spilled water on the keyboard, some keys work, some don't. Want to replace the keyboard but cant find one to match. I HAD TO CLICK WRONG PRODUCT AS THERE WAS NO OPTION FOR MY LAPTOP. Thanks

Check first for a spare on Ebay, that will be cheaper than buying a new spare, but parts for this model are difficult to find.

Does it have a second HDD or is it a Recovery Partition? C would be the primary, if you have a D, it may be a Partition of the primary? Trying to get a replacement keyboard for my medion akoya E7212, I phoned medion looking to get one, the tech guy suggested I google it as they dont supply spares. Tried that but no luck, Uk supplier...
Here is a link to medion akoya keyboards for sale on eBay, although none of them mention your specific model. In such cases (I'm a laptop repair pro) I contact the vendor through the "Ask a Question" link under their name and feedback rating and inquire as to matches.

There isn't much to do for your laptop , except to replace the keyboard. They are somewhat fragile, and do often fail. The good news is that they are inexpensive to replace, usually less than $20. Check out your make and model laptop on ebay, and make sure the keyboard looks identical to yours!

Medion MD 96327 - when temp gets to about 92 degrees C - when burning DVD's the laptop shuts down totally. The laptop is on a desk and has plenty of ventilation. Is there anything I can do?

Are you sure you got the temps right? 92 Celsius would be about 198 Fahrenheit. That temp would likely fry your CPU

If it is 92 F then this is likely an overheating issue. Listen to see if you can hear the fan blowing in your laptop. If the fan IS blowing then we can rule THAT out. If not you will have to get it repaired or replaced.

If the fan was blowing try getting a can of compressed air and blow out the venting ports on the Laptop. If doin this still does not resolve your problem there are cooling devices at several retailers for notebooks. I've seen them at Office depot, Best Buy and Circuit city

Hi Steve, its kinda hard to advise you considering your limited in what u can do, if you are not able to get into the bios or into safe mode using the keys on the keypad, only thing i would suggest that would be worth checking is the cable for the keypad, to check that just remove the keypad and underneath it there is a cable try taking it out and putting it back in, If the machine lets you into safe mode or bios let me know should be easy enough to fix. And by any chance did your daughter spill anything on the keypad?.. and if you aint sure how to remove keypad just ask will give you more details.. let me know how you get on.. John
