put simply , when you format , you are emptying out all of the file draws in the record room and placing tags on each draw ready for new files
format error indicates that some or all tags are missing /corrupted and the mps doesn't have any idea where to put the files or music you want stored
MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. make sure your usb driver is working properly (plug something else in the drive) if not... reinstall the driver, if it does work, make sure your mp3 player doesnt require software. also ive noticed that some mp3 players are just that... MP3 PLAYERS.. some wont play wma or other file formats.. hope this helps
i just re formatted that mp3 player using my computer. I cicked on the mp3 player icon and it said that it wasnt formatted. Although this did erase all my music off of the mp3 player. it works now, and i can always put the music back on there.
That player is officially toast. There is no recovery software or firmware upgrades for that device - once the key system file is delted, it cannot be recovered.
The songs are in the wrong format - they are probably DRM-encrypted WMA files that you are trying to transfer, and the license on those files are wrong; they are either "fixed-term" or lack "transfer rights"
To resolve, either upgrade your music svc subscription, or convert the songs to Mps format
first make sure your usb connection is working/active so that you can transfer your files seamlessly via usb cable (between psp and mp3 files).also, you can save all important psp files to your pc just to be safe, then try to format the memory stick using the format feature on your psp (go to system setting then click format memory stick).no guarantees, hope this works.
