Bosch Dishwasher pump keeps emptying

The pump keeps working on this dishwasher. The float switch is not faulty and there is no water in the sump. Any ideas please?

The pressure switch sounds like an idea. Is it a white unit with several connectors and a microswitch in the middle of it to the right hand side of the motor?

its not getting water but if I disconnect the hose and connect again it will work... until next time!

The float that switches on the pump doesn't float so the unit doesn't empty properly. The pump does work if you lift it by hand.

Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the lower access panels and check the tray under the dishwasher. You will probably find it is full of water. Use a towel or a sponge to remove the water. There is a float that will stop the operation of the unit and run the pump if water is in this tray. Test the unit. If there are no leaks, check the drain hose under the sink. THE DRAIN HOSE MUST RUN UP TO ABOVE THE TOP OF THE MACHINE THEN TO THE DRAIN. If the hose is not set up like this, water from the sink drain will flow into the dishwasher and overflow into the tray under it.

If there is no water in the pan under the dishwasher there may be a problem with the pressure switch at the side of the pump housing but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

My dishwasher keeps flashing i30 and wont start what shall i do

In your case occurred intervention of anti-flooding system.
Displayed Error is "i30"
The cycle is interrupted and the drain pump switches on.
Could be:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various
connections (pump, upper spray arm duct etc.);
floating sensor blocked mechanically; microswitch
faulty; fill solenoid blocked mechanically; circuit
board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited); wiring
faulty.

First, try to tilt dishwasher and see if leaking water from its bottom.
This is most commonly occurs.

Hotpoint Built-In Dishwasher HDA3600DWWmy dish

there is an electronic solenoid near where the drainhose connects to the sump that changes the waterflow direction from recirculate(washing), to evacuate (draining). this is electronically controlled by the timer. you can test the power leads at the solenoid for voltage when it sould be draining. if none then the timer is faulty. if there is voltage then the solenoid is faulty. if the solenoid is engageing, then the water diverter is faulty. if the water diverter is broken, replace the dishwasher.
overflowing is another problem of its own. the water level float/ sensor is not working and could be caked with detergent. work the float from the inside of the dishwasher, it should move freely. if so, then there is a switch connected to the float on the underside. test it with an ohmmeter. if bad replace it. if it is an electronically timed water level control then it could be a problem with the timer as well, but with hotpoint they are usually manual.

Bosch dishwasher not completing its cycle

Sounds to me like you have a problem with with the overflow switch or float. To access the switch or float you must pull d/w out and remove the left side panel(as you face the d/w).

Drain pump runs continuously. Nothing else happens!

Water had accumulated in the sump - a plastic tray at the bottom of the dishwasher which catches any leaked water. This operates a float switch which makes the drain pump run all the time. The fix was to tilt the dishwasher backwards to drain away the water. It isn't filling up again, so I'm not sure where the water came from, but I'll keep an eye on it!

Bosch SHU43C Dishwasher

Is there no water coming in( hear no water at all) or no water NOT staying in ( drain motor running) ... the float switch is a safety to keep the dishwasher from flooding ...turns on the drain motor as soon as the door is closed..

I could check the control and see if you have power to the water valve.. maybe a control problem if no power..

SHU43 running constantly

Intrrnal leak into base of appliance will make drain pump run constantly.
If appliance fills then dumps water with drain punp then keeps filling/draining sequence then the flow meter could de faulty.
