Hi faulkquarter

I take it that the clock displayed with this problem if not a 22717 model. The one I have sighted is a digital clock. Generally, you need to hold down the "time" button and also press the "hours" and "mins" buttons at the same time to set the time. If this is not how your clock appears, please give me the button names and I can write a method of changing the time for you.

Graeme

Wesclox 22717 reset problem

Searched the web but couldn't find the answer either. I was about to throw the clock away when my 10 year old son came by and said "press hard". So that's the answer! I used a pen to press the time button then hit the hour and minute and it did the reset. Good luck.

I have a Westclox model #15600QA, when set time for alarm is reached, I do not hear alarm and the clock's second hand stops functioning.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the alarm function and/or the clock movement in your Westclox model #15600QA clock. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Ensure that the battery in the clock is fresh and properly installed. A weak or dead battery can cause the clock to stop functioning or the alarm to not sound.
  2. Check the volume: Make sure that the volume of the alarm is turned up and not muted. There may be a switch or dial on the back or side of the clock to adjust the volume.
  3. Check the alarm setting: Ensure that the alarm is set correctly and that the time is set to the correct AM/PM setting. Check that the alarm switch is in the "on" position.
  4. Check the clock movement: If the clock's second hand stops functioning, this may be a sign that there is an issue with the clock movement. Try resetting the clock and see if the second hand starts moving again. If it does not, there may be a problem with the clock's gears or other internal components.
  5. Contact Westclox support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Westclox support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest repair options if the clock is still under warranty.
Note: Before attempting any repairs or opening the clock, make sure to read the instructions and take proper safety precautions. If you are unsure of how to proceed or do not feel comfortable making repairs yourself, it is best to seek the help of a professional clock repair service.

Westclox model LTX271 instructions for setting day

mcdevito75 here, The stem on your westclox has 2 positions, First pull the stem out to set the time of day, keep cycleing the watch until you come to 1 day before the day you want. NOW! push the stem back in. NOW! slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently kift the crown to it"s first position, it may take a little practice so be patient, once in it's first position you can change the DATE easily, change the DATE to 1 DATE before the DA you want, push the syem back in and pull the stem back out and set the day/date and time of day. Your watch is set and will change on time a little past mid nite.

While holding down the snooze bar that says "ALARM" on it, hold down either of the "HOUR" button to set the hour when the alarm should go off or hold down the "MINUTE" button to adjust the minutes for when the alarm should go off.  Switch the "ALARM" to "ON" when done.
