Mitsubishi WD-62526 Projection TV Logo
Jim J Posted on Feb 04, 2013

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62526 and the color scheme is messed up. I've tried adjusting the color but it remains tinted yellow.

Color adjustment is not working. Regardless of how I try to adjust the color it remains heavily tinted yellow. Almost like the red coloring is non-existent.How can I fix this?

Green tint on picture 60in mitsubishi

Turn the color all the way off---examine the screen to see if black and white or screen green in areas or whole screen.

The other possible issue is tint will not vary enough from green to purple when adjusted.

Two different issues--which do you seem to have?

Green tint

Go to a channel that is in black and white and turn color all the way off.

Screen should be a black and white or gray color.

If green there is a fairly easy way to adjust--let me know what you find and I will tell you how to attempt the adjustments.

This is an LCD projection tv- there is no color wheel, have your tv serviced- cleaned, hopefully you dont have optical block issues. contact a service shop.

Color

see if there is a "default" option, if not set everything back to the middle, if the colors are still off you sure its not the convergence?
most big screens allow you to change "color temperature" it's like a default adjustment for 3 different brightness levels.... ie...COOL, WARM picture will show obvious changes in brightness

White colors schemes seem off white color or brownish color and blue has green tint or baby blue color. .

Check the coolant in all three crt's as chances are it is contaminated (should be crystal clear). If brown (beer color), replace coolant in all three crt's and perform convergence adjust. Picture should be like new!!!

Good Luck!!!

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:

12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
