Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

Mitsubishi WD-62526 I have a Mitsubishi WD-62526 and it has a bluish-greenish tinge at the bottom of the screen. It goes all the way across the bottom in an uneven fashion (not a straight line) about the bottom two inches of the screen. Has anyone else had this problem, is it an adjustment?

    I feel ya on this, the same thing happened to me.. It gets bigger. You'll think you're on acid or something, and it's not getting bigger, cause it's so gradual. But it does. And then the lamp shits out on ya. I'm lookin for a new lamp right now.

    I have the same problem, only mine has gotten worse. The spots are 4-6 inches tall from the bottom of the screen and it has also begun to develop greenish spots all over the screen. One tech person I spoke to said that it might be the light engine going bad or that it could be dirty.

    i bought a tv through Arron's sales and leasebrand new. after 1 year the screen had 3-4 green blotches on it in the middle. i had a service guy come swap it out for another while mine is in service and they gave me a loaner of the same model. it has the worst picture i have ever seen in my life! 6" of green blotch across the bottom. something is up here! has to be a manufacture defect!!!

    My TV too. 2 maybe 3 inches high in some areas. Never noticed it until HD service hooked up. Now thats all i look at is the green on the bottom. Its very distracting.

    I have a repair guy coming and will report back as to the problem. He estimated $300-400 to fix.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:

12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Mitsubishi WD-62526 turns on-n-off

I would bet the illumination lamp has reached the end of it's life (~$40 online). Should be easy to replace. Also possible the ventilation vents need cleaning, which could cause the lamp to overheat and turn off.

My mitsubishi wd-62526 red light is on for lamp and there is no picture

this indicates a bad lamp. your owners manual has instructions for replacing. there will be a lamp door on the back or behind the speaker grille. if the lamp is shattered or bulged/white it is bad. if the lamp looks good, you may have bad capacitors on your power supply.
